In an effort to publicize the launch of this tribute to both Claude Monet, the Father of Impressionism, as well as to the region of France where he remains a figure of notorious resident to this day, Aileen Bordman has written and produced a 60 minute documentary entitled Monet’s Palate: A Gastronomic View from the Gardens of Giverny.
To accompany the release of the film, Bordman has a book in production that like the documentary, compares the art, natural beauty of the landscape, and the culinary indulgence of from the French region. To emphasize the colorful relationship between the historical artistic culture of Giverny, located North of Paris, and the food its gardens grew, Chef Daniel Boulud of one of Las Vegas’ fine French restaurants at Wynn Las Vegas, offers commentary on the food preparation and the culinary innovators given rise there.

Special dinners featuring food and wine pairings similar to those once experienced by Claude Monet and his guests in Giverny were aided by the visual display of Steve Wynn’s private and priceless collection of Impressionist art, which is showcased in the film.
